Ivy Nox

Back when I first started taking portraits, Ivy Nox was one of the first models I worked with. This was the first shoot we did together, spending golden hour on the sand dunes taking some natural light portraits. The skies changed the lighting throughout the shoot starting off with hard warm light and slowly fading to a very soft warm glow, creating the more dream-like images at the end of the shoot.

Helen Brady

Splitting a shoot between two locations; a studio and an abandoned/overgrown old hall was a busy day, but worth it. Helen Brady did an amazing job at switching between two very different shooting styles, from the artificial lights and tight backdrops of my studio to the difficult to navigate foliage of the abandoned hall, we created some very atmospheric images.

Mike Cawley

My first proper portrait shoot, when I first decided I wanted to take portraits a little more seriously Mike was the first person to reply to my advert. We went to the sand dunes and took these shots at golden hour. We couldn't have asked for a better sky, but we could have asked for me to load the film correctly in my camera... this was the first and only time I've ever loaded a roll of 120 backwards in my RB67, meaning we only got digital shots from this shoot, which I was still very very pleased with.

Ivy Nox again

When I got my "pro" lights Ivy Nox kindly agreed to come to my studio to give them a test. This shoot focused on my optical snoot spotlight, playing around with different colours and dramatic harsh lighting. Her alternative look lent itself really well to these more experimental shots.
